Minimize energy consumption

To minimize energy consumption, it’s advisable to let a hygrostat (humidity sensor) control the dehumidifier. The hygrostat activates the dehumidifier when the humidity becomes too high and turns it off when it’s sufficiently low. A control box with a lamp that warns of high humidity in the crawlspace can be connected to the hygrostat. The box is installed prominently inside the house.
